ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Denzil. Photographer, Comedian and DJ.

 

I developed* a love of photography from holidays, wanting to elevate the treasured snapshot and capture the beauty of the world around me. 

 

Trips to Venice Carnival led to an interest in portrait photography, entranced by the fabulous costumes and masks. This led me to visit and photograph carnivals in Rio de Janeiro and Cologne, as well as London’s Notting Hill carnival. 

 

Whilst travelling in the Amazon rainforest, I fell in love with wildlife photography and realised I needed a better camera.

 

This camera comes with me to festivals, where I love nothing better than getting a portrait of happy people, bands and performers, and trying to capture the atmosphere of the fields.

 

As a stand-up comedian and comedy promoter, I recognise the importance of event photos and take photos of the acts when they’re on stage, to help me promote the night.

 

I have recently left my job in the NHS to focus** on photography, comedy promotion and DJing. 

I am offering headshots for fellow comedians, along with portrait shoots, and gig and event photography.

 

I am based in Nottingham and Manchester, and promote Den Of Laughs comedy nights in the East Midlands, as well as mobile DJ services.
